Google teases the Pixel 3 without giving much away

Google's first teaser for the much-anticipated Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL couldn't be subtler, yet convey the message loud and clear. The company is expected to introduce a bunch of new hardware, including new Pixel phones and potential new Chromebooks at the event. There's a big "3" in the image and a "three" in the URL. If you're Google, that's one good reason to start teasing the Pixel 3 phones on the same day Apple began taking iPhone XS preorders.

So, there's nothing too insane going on with that teaser, but things get a little more interesting with the second one, which is actually a Japanese teaser.

There's little surprise that Google is launching its 2018 flagships, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, next month. Ahead of the event, though, most of the new Pixel phones have already leaked.

The first two colors are pretty standard, being white/gray and black/dark gray, though it's worth pointing out that the white/gray color scheme features a green accent around the inner border of the device. If you've been following Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL rumors, and we've had a ton of those in the past few weeks, you know the "3" can only refer to the Pixel 3 phones. We'll see what else surfaces in between now and October 9, so stay tuned.
