Town’ is a New Game from Pokémon Dev GameFreak

Pokémon developer Game Freak is working on a brand new turn-based RPG called "Town" (working title) with plans to release the game in 2019. The announcement was part of the reveals made at Nintendo Direct event.

The RPG is set entirely within one town, and players are tasked with protecting the town against invading monsters.

Adam Bankhurst is a news writer for IGN who has all the faith in the world in Game Freak and is excited to vacation in this troubled village next year.

Details are pretty thin, but Town will be coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019. Perhaps just exploring and meeting the town's inhabitants are all that's involved, but knowing Game Freak there's likely more to Town's gameplay than is immediately apparent. It seems that you are the - or one of the - town protectors who is tasked with defending the village against whatever may come. Certain situations will even allow you to summon other villagers to help work together to stop the monsters. While they're best known for Pokémon, Game Freak has released other fun titles in the past including Drill Dozer, HarmoKnight, and Pocket Card Jockey, to name just a few. While we wait for more news on Town, what are your thoughts on the game?
