Husband Dead Wife Injured After Colliding While Zip Lining On Honeymoon

According to Honduran newspaper La Prensa, 24-year-old Egael Tishman and 27-year-old Shif Fanken were on a cruise-ship excursion to zip line near West Bay, Roatan, when the accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The couple had been married for less than a month.

The newlyweds were on a cruise to celebrate their honeymoon when they chose to zip line over a treetop canopy near Roatan, the New York Post (NYP) translated from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. One of the stops along the way was Roatan.

"Our care team is providing support and assistance to the guests' family and friends", Torres said. Upon examination, it was found that they had numerous broken ribs and several other injuries. "He was evaluated in the ambulance and was given oxygen". Hours later, Tishman passed away.

Guerrero said he had not yet learned the cause of death, but Honduras's Radio America reported that it may have been a brain hemorrhage. In the United States, the number of commercial zip lines soared from 10 in 2001 to 200 in 2012, not including thousands of amateur zip lines.

The man was not injured and is reportedly in a stable condition.

His body was being flown back to Israel for burial.

An investigation has been launched into how the accident occurred.

Fire chief Wilmer Guerrero was alerted to the incident and arrived with ambulances to first take the couple to a hospital in Roatan. These injuries come after an increase in popularity for zip-lining.
