Prince William and Princess Kate have announced the godparents for today's christening of Prince Louis at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace.

The list includes Nicholas van Cutsem, former Etonian Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Lady Laura Meade, who is the wife of royal wedding speech-maker James Meade.

Louis's older brother Prince George has seven godparents.

Prince Louis, who is fifth in line to the royal throne, has now been christened at The Chapel Royal of St James Palace, in a small and intimate family affair.

The decision is understood not to have been taken on health grounds, and to have been mutually agreed by the Queen and the Cambridges some time ago.

Will that honor go to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex?

The pair attended both Prince George's christening in 2013 and Princess Charlotte's in 2015.

It is created to look like the robe Queen Victoria's eldest daughter wore in 1841!

The elaborately decorated garment, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, is a replica of the gown made in 1841 for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria.

Who's taking Prince Louis' official christening portraits?

Prince Harry is giving Prince Louis a first edition copy of Winnie the Pooh as christening gift.

The Victorian gown entered the record books, having been worn by 62 babies during its lifespan, including Queen Elizabeth during her christening at Buckingham Palace on May 26, 1926.

At his christening on October 23, 2013 at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace in London, Prince George was dressed up in the newly made replica of the classic Victorian christening gown.

Kate's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, will be present, alongside her sister Pippa and husband James Matthews, and brother James.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, also married Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their wedding last month, and called his forthcoming duty at Prince Louis' christening "very nerve wracking" but also "a great privilege".
