"Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year", the teaser, erm, teases.

Sacha Baron Cohen has been undercover for a whole year making his new TV show Who Is America?

In the clip, Cohen's off-screen interviewer asks Cheney to sign a "waterboard kit", which Cheney subsequently does with a smile and says, "That's the first time I ever signed a waterboard". This is gonna be a good 'un. The first episode will debut on streaming, online and On Demand this Sunday, July 15 at 9 PM midnight ET (9 p.m. PT July 14) and will premiere on air that same night at 10 PM ET/PT, with subsequent episodes airing on Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT. Showtime soon announced that it had picked up Baron Cohen's project, a comedy interview series in the vein of the Da Ali G Show, which first launched him to fame.

It seemed like Cohen was done with prank interviews after the movie Brüno, but for the past week or so there have been hints that he's been up to something for Showtime. "You've been warned", the posters read, while giving us a glimpse at Baron Cohen's new character, peeking out surreptitiously from behind American flags and wearing various types of eyewear.

Baron Cohen said in 2016 that Trump participated in the interview longer than most guests.

The 46-year-old English comedian posted a 22-second video clip on Twitter on Instagram to promote the series.

We see Cheney on screen, sitting in an armchair and happily signing the apparent torture device.
