Maisie went on to explain how she has never found Game of Thrones misogynistic, despite many criticising it for just that.

Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark in Game of Thrones just finished shooting her spell of the series finale and she might be trying to tell something to her fans.

"Goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy i've had. here's to the adventures to come", Williams captioned the pic, adding the hashtags, "#immasleepforthenextfouryears" and "#justkiddingidontsleep" - as well as "#lastwomanstanding #barely".

Williams posted a photo of bloody shoes to Instagram.

While many of Maisie's followers were busy analysing the image, others took to the comment section to congratulate her on a job well done.

No matter what, it's clear that whatever happens will involve a lot of blood. Who knows? Until then, feel free to decipher her post for Easter eggs (or should I say dragon eggs?) and cultivate your own theories about the forthcoming season. Since her father's death at the end of Season 1, her character has been taken hostage by Sir Sandor Clegane, learned the shape shifting ways of the many-faced god, and exacted bad revenge for the red wedding (and Littlefinger's machinations).

Game of Thrones is expected to return for the final season in April 2019.

Williams was cast as Arya Stark in 2011 when she was only 12 years old and helped make the character a fan favorite.
