Kylie Jenner poised to become youngest billionaire ever

Kylie joins other women, including her sister Kim Kardashian, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, singers Beyonce and Taylor Swift who also made the list.

Forbes attributed Jenner's success to her popularity on social media. In a feature story about the youngest member of the Kardashian clan, the magazine estimates that her beauty company Kylie Cosmetics-launched less than three years ago, in November 2015-is worth $800 million.

"Thank you @Forbes for this article and the recognition", added Kylie.

"Another year of growth will make her the youngest self-made billionaire ever, male or female, trumping Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at age 23", Robehmed reports.

For example, the richest woman in the world, Walmart heiress Alice Walton - whose net worth is estimated to be a whopping $46 billion - is not on the self-made billionaires list because her wealth is inherited.

She told Forbes that social is "an unbelievable platform" because she has "such easy access to my fans and my customers". "It could easily be an instant game-changing acquisition for any company on the hunt for a winning brand with a younger customer", senior VP or merchandising at Ulta Tara Simon said. The youngest of the KarJenners, she said she felt out of place trying to carve her own niche away from the show. But as she started making money as a model, adding endorsement deals with British retailer Topshop and others, it all began to add up and her appearance began to be a business.

"Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow", she remembers.

"It has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since, including an estimated $330m in 2017". (In 2015, she admitted to getting temporary ones.) So, the reality star chose to capitalize on everyone's obsession. "I don't want to do it with anyone else, '" Jenner said.

Kylie Cosmetics is dealing with slowing growth - Forbes reports that revenue grew just 7% past year, with lip-kit revenue dropping an estimated 35%. The magazine noted that revenue grew only 7 percent in 2017 and that lip-kit revenue dipped 35 percent from approximately $153 million in 2016 to $99 million in 2017.

Reflecting on the future, Jenner said she plans on working on Kyle Cosmetics "forever" noting that maybe one day she'll "pass this on to" daughter Stormi "if she's into it".

While Kylie dismissed the idea of selling out, Kris knows you never say never.
