In the movie, "City of Lies", set for USA release September 7, the 55-year-old Depp plays a Los Angeles police detective who for years investigated the still-unsolved 1997 death of the rapper Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls, whose real name is Christopher Wallace.

Johnny Depp attacked a member of the crew on a movie shoot, telling the crew member he'd give him $100k to punch him in the face. and now the crew member wants his money in the form of a lawsuit.

When Rocky replied: 'I'm just doing my job, ' the source said Johnny punched him, screaming: 'I'll give you $100,000 to punch me right now'. Johnny plays a Los Angeles police detective who investigates the crime.

Depp's bodyguards apparently had to intervene to keep their boss away from Brooks.

However, when things weren't going to plan, this is when Brooks had to inform Depp, who reportedly "reeked of alcohol", that he only had one more shot.

The 53-year-old allegedly freaked out after Gregg "Rocky" Brooks told him he had to wrap a scene because the permit was running out on the LA street that had been closed for filming.

According to Brooks, who filed documents in court, as obtained by People Magazine, Johnny followed him after work, punched him in the ribs twice, and screamed, "who the f*ck are you?" "You have no right to tell me what to do".

"Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists".

Brooks' filing from Glendale attorney Arbella Azizian of Baker Olson, LeCroy & Danielian seeks wide ranging but unspecified damages from Depp, Furmqn, producer Miriam Segal and the production.

The lawsuit also claims that the crewmember was sacked when he refused to sign papers saying he wouldn't sue over the incident.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star is already facing suits filed in May in California Superior Court from two former body guards for unpaid wages and overtime.
