Steve Beahm, head of Passenger Car Brands at Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat, told Motor Trend that the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is "a Hellcat that's been possessed by a Demon".

Priced $15,345 less than the Challenger SRT Demon, the Hellcat Redeye features a number of the same high-performance modifications. It uses the standard Hellcat as a base, before bolting on a long list of Demon parts including its 2.7-litre supercharger (over the standard 2.4-litre unit), twin dual-stage fuel pumps, and strengthened pistons, connecting rods and prop shafts.

With pricing now revealed, the Redeye tops the lineup at $69,750. That Redeye becomes Dodge's fastest auto for 2019 with the Demon no more.

Over the course of the past week, the 2019 Dodge Challenger has been the hottest ticket in the automotive industry thanks in part of the introduction of the 797-horsepower Hellcat Redeye package. The vehicle can hit 60mph in 3.4 seconds and promises a quarter mile run of 10.8 seconds. Want to move up to all-wheel drive?

For 2019, there's a new Challenger GT RWD which costs $29,995. In the 2018 model year, you could order the GT package with standard all-wheel-drive or you could get the SXT, R/T, Daytona, Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392 or SRT Hellcat with rear-drive. This model adds a hood scoop, a splitter, paddle shifters and cloth Houndstooth seats. It has a 5.7-liter HEMI producing up to 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque. This model is the true performance bargain, offering all that hustle for just $38,995 (not including a $1,000 gas-guzzler tax on the manual). That's unfortunate, but the model has a 6.4-liter V8 pumping out 485 hp (361 kW / 491 PS) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque.
