Brock Lesnar Shoves Daniel Cormier at UFC 226

Daniel Cormier faces Alexander Gustafsson in 2015

Daniel Cormier shocked the mixed martial arts world tonight in Las Vegas by knocking out Stipe Miocic in the very first-round to claim the UFC's coveted heavyweight title.

Lesnar was brought cageside for the main event fight between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, and was sitting with Dana White.

If Cormier can win and claim two championship belts at the same time, it will be one of the most impressive accomplishments in MMA history.

The 39-year-old Cormier has never lost to anyone except Jon Jones, and his five-inch height disadvantage against Miocic was no problem. "His gut told him Stipe was going to win because he felt Cormier put too much weight on for this fight and that was going to affect him, but it didn't".

"I believe he'll get him down once or twice along the way but I don't believe he'll be able to control him on the floor". "I think a lot of it depends on how he argues this case here and what USADA comes out and says about that test".

Joe Rogan then interviewed Lesnar, who said that he was coming for DC! Lesnar would go on to lose the title to Cain Velasquez in October 2010 at UFC 121.

But the size disparity between Miocic and Cormier will be more vertical than horizontal.

He added: "Your days are in the past, 2010, it's like the stone age".

Brock Lesnar is officially back in the UFC and he's getting a heavyweight title shot.

As bigger than Cormier as Miocic has looked this week, when they weighed-in on Friday morning the scales told a different story. Lesnar is now in the WWE where he is the WWE universal champion. Featherweight champion Max Holloway was scheduled to defend his title against Brian Ortega, but Holloway dropped out Wednesday night with symptoms of an apparent concussion.

Lewis (20-5) earned an easy decision victory practically by default when Ngannou (11-3) seemed uninterested in engaging amid heavy boos.

Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis also submitted Michael Chiesa in the second round with a triangle armbar from a bottom position. Pettis (21-7) staggered his larger opponent with a right hand before winning for just the third time in eight fights since 2014. He may have won the fights, but I hold the cards.
