The Mariners' Jean Segura beat out the other four men in the running.

Seattle shortstop Jean Segura was first in the fan voting.

For the eight players not selected in the Final Vote, the All-Star dream is not officially over.

Aguilar drew 20.2 million votes en route to securing his first Midsummer Classic selection.

Aguilar received 20.2 million votes, which is the second highest vote total since the Final Vote began in 2002, trailing only Justin Turner's 20.8 million last season. His total was the second-highest in the history of the All-Star Final Vote, trailing only Justin Turner's 20.8 million votes previous year.

The 28-year-old Seattle shortstop was batting.329 and ranked second in the majors with 116 hits. Heading into Wednesday's series finale with Miami, the 28-year-old led the National League in homers (23) and slugging percentage (.631) while ranking third in RBI (64). But he did finish ahead of Giancarlo Stanton (Yankees), Eddie Rosario (Twins) and Andrelton Simmons (Angels).

In the NL balloting, he won out over Matt Carpenter of the Cardinals, Brandon Belt of the Giants, Max Muncy of the Dodgers, and Trea Turner of the Nationals. It's also well deserved after Segura's superb first half helped to anchor the Mariners infield and offense.

Andrew Benintendi will get some time off during the All-Star break next week. FOX Deportes will provide Spanish language coverage in the United States, while ESPN Radio and ESPN Radio Deportes will provide exclusive national radio coverage of the All-Star Game.
