The Last Of Us 2's E3 2018 Trailer Shows Ellie At A Dance And Fighting Enemies

Of course, it's none other than The Last of Us Part II's gameplay trailer, and it's as brutal as ever. That didn't last long though: the trailer then cut off to her brutally stabbing a guy in the neck. "We're making a game about the cycle of violence and we're making a statement about violent actions and the impact they have on the character that's committing them and on the people close to them", he told Kotaku.

Unfortunately, there's still no release date for The Last of Us Part II. Oddly enough, Joel - the previous game's protagonist - has not appeared in the game yet.

Sony kicked off its E3 2018 presentation with a banjo performance by Gustavo Santoye, who performed one of The Last of Us' themes. From the way Ellie plays to the way she navigates through this hostile world, you're going to feel her physical, emotional, and mental state expressed through every facet of gameplay. "We've completely overhauled our engine, developed new combat mechanics, created a new analog stealth system, and revamped our animation system to fully express Ellie's desperation, resourcefulness, and unique agility". Woodward and Ashley Johnson, who voices Ellie, recreated the scene in real life at the Sony E3 2018 briefing.

There are still many questions remaining, such as the timeline of the events we see above, but we can probably safely say that Ellie will be the main character of this installment.
