The Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A might be China-exclusive as the company only recently launched the Redmi 5 in India.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is the all new selfie-centric smartphone that has arrived as a successor for Redmi Y1.

The Redmi Note 5, on the other hand, is a device that follows a tried and tested design philosophy by Xiaomi.

The rear side of the phone features a fingerprint sensor which can be also used for snapping selfie shots.

The phone carries a dual camera setup on the back, with one lens of 12-MP with f/1.8 and a second optical zoom lens with f/2.4 aperture.

Xiaomi Redmi S2 comes with a 5.99-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. That said, it seems that the brand is stuck with the Snapdragon 625 processor lot as we have seen a lot of devices off lately that comes with the same processor. Memory wise, the device will come with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB + 64GB internal storage options.

The phones are joined by the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 4 (TW), Redmi Note 3, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 3S, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Y1, and Redmi Y2. The RAM on this device is 3GB. At the event, Xiaomi has also highlighted features such as an 18:9 display, a dedicated microSD card slot and face unlock support.

The artificial intelligence-powered OS was unveiled in China last week, and comes with advanced photography algorithms and features such as full screen display gestures, and AI Preload, which speeds up the device.

The Redmi Y2 is powered by Xiaomi's trusted Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, a chipset that Xiaomi doesn't let go despite several newer variants - it's like they picked a bundle of them at Qualcomm's yard sale. The phone is an Amazon exclusive product and will be available on Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home, starting 12 June.

The 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM edition of the Redmi Y2 will be available with a pricing of Rs. 9,999. However, the other specification of the phone wasn't revealed but there are chances that Xiaomi's upcoming smartphone will follow that tradition and feature specifications similar to the Mi 6X.
