After Melania Trump failed to accompany her husband on his trip to the Camp David presidential retreat over the weekend, Grisham said on Sunday that the first lady would now skip next week's G7 summit meeting in Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada, according to a report by ABC News correspondent Meredith McGraw. She was last spotted with President Donald Trump on May 10 at Andrews Air Force Base as they welcomed home three Americans who had been held prisoner in North Korea. Four days later the White House told reporters that she was in the hospital at Walter Reed Medical Center after undergoing a "successful" kidney procedure for a "benign" condition. "Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!" wrote the First Lady.

The first lady attempted address her absence from the public eye Wednesday with a tweet.

The president then plans to travel to Singapore for a June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

As days have passed into weeks without a sighting of the first lady, speculation about Trump's lack of public schedule spawned several internet conspiracy theories, from plastic surgery to a stealth move back to New York City.

Meanwhile, another tweet started doing the rounds online.in which every first letter of, her sentences spelled the word "HELP".

Reporters turned to look at the spot he indicated, but there was no sign of the first lady.

Melania Trump stayed behind while the president left on a weekend getaway Friday, making it 22 days since she last appeared in public.

Paolo Zampolli, a longtime pal of Melania's, told the Associated Press she "wanted to spend some quality time with her family".

"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing", she wrote on Twitter. The White House traditionally hosts a big Fourth of July celebration.
