Putin says he'll meet with Trump whenever USA is ready

Lauding the USA president's efforts in the global scene, Putin said that Trump's actions, though frequently criticized in his own country, are "constructive".

But a time and date for a meeting have not been agreed, spokesman says.

Russian Federation was admitted to the club at the annual summit in Denver, Colorado in the Western United States, amid tensions within the group, with U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Tony Blair pushing for Moscow's inclusion while other members of the G-7 opposing the decision.

"Right now, the president is actually driving our allies away from us as we need them even more, while welcoming in the Russians", Markey said on CBS's "Face the Nation".

On Friday, Putin said both nations "are interested in establishing peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula".

He said a meeting could take place as soon as the United States was ready and that many European countries had offered their help in making it happen.

President Trump said back in march, a summit with Putin is a possibility but Russian-American ties have soured since then.

"It was mentioned that Vienna could be such a city" Peskov was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti state news agency after being asked if Putin discussed whether the city could hold such a meeting when he met with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Tuesday.

China is now locked in an ongoing trade dispute with the USA, which has also imposed tough sanctions on Russian Federation.

"Both share scepticism towards American hegemony and distrust United States intentions, both are authoritarian personalistic rulers", he said. 'Colleagues refused to come to Russian Federation on well-known grounds'.

"But I believe it's a technical issue", he said.

SCO states also include four ex-Soviet central Asian republics and new members Pakistan and India.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met Saturday to discuss regional issues including both countries' involvement in the Syrian civil war and the U.S. withdrawal from a landmark nuclear deal with Iran.

Both he and Mr Xi also held talks in the Chinese capital, where they hailed the close ties between their countries and discussed the upcoming US-North Korea summit, as well as the Iran nuclear deal.

Now in the wake of the US withdrawal from the pact, "SCO members may use granting full membership to Iran as a way to demonstrate support for (Tehran) and the nuclear agreement", said Dawn Murphy, professor of global security studies at the US Air War College.

Earlier on Sunday, Putin criticised the USA withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear deal in a speech at the summit.

Xi and Putin also vowed to make "all possible efforts" to preserve the 2015 worldwide accord on Iran's nuclear programme that Trump abandoned last month.
