Millie Bobby Brown Quits Twitter After People Make Fake Homophobic Memes About Her

The memes feature photos of a smiling Brown accompanied by nasty anti-gay slogans that depict her as a homophobe, typically accompanied by the hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown. Below are some examples of the meme, which include homophobic slurs. Brown is a supporter of LGBTQ rights and an anti-bullying advocate; she publicly displayed a GLAAD Together movement pin to the MTV Movie and TV awards past year.

Numerous posts attribute obviously false quotes like "We don't need gun control, we need faggot patrol" to the British star. She also still has her Instagram account, but has deactivated the comments section.

Ironically, it appears her last post was a quote-tweet of the Being Me Campaign, an anti-bullying group.

Millie Bobby Brown has apparently deleted her Twitter account after being the subject of a series of vile, homophobic memes.

They continue: "She is a f**king child and you are cracking jokes about her hating gay people and wanting to kill them when she hasn't done anything wrong?"

The trolls posted the awful memes during Pride month, and one of the completely fake Photoshopped images took off and got wide circulation.

TooFab has reached out to Brown's reps for comment, but has yet to hear back.
