Manchester City wing wizard Leroy Sané has shockingly been left out of Germany's 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup by Joachim Löw.

But Joachim Low left out the 22-year-old when he named his final 23-man squad for Russian Federation 2018 on Monday morning.

Germany have included 2014 World Cup-winning goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in their final squad for the 2018 tournament, even though he has only just returned from a long-term absence through injury.

"I had a conversation yesterday with Manu late in the evening", said Low on Friday.

Three Premier League players are selected.

Sane started the weekend loss to Austria, playing 67 minutes but failed to make an impact.

These displays weren't enough to bag him a spot in Joachim Low's group, with Bayer Leverkusen starlet Julian Brandt earning a role ahead of him. Draxler Reus and Müller are set. He had not arrived in worldwide matches yet.

Low explained: 'That was a very close decision between him and Julian Brandt, which was made in favor of Brandt'.

Sane, who scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in 28 games during the season, was one of four players discarded by Germany along with Bernd Leno, Jonathan Tah and Nils Petersen.
