Kim Kardashian Feeling 'Very Hopeful' After Meeting With President Donald Trump

Kim Kardashian West meets Donald Trump to talk prison reform

The talk show host on Thursday addressed Kardashian's White House visit with Trump and advisors including Jared Kushner, where the reality show star specifically advocated to pardon Alice Marie Johnson.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta slammed Kim Kardashian West's meeting with President Trump regarding prison reform.

While saying that President Donald Trump's tweet weighing in on this week's cancellation of "Roseanne" illustrated a "lack of seriousness" from the White House, Acosta quickly launched into an aside about Kardashian West. "If she did the same under the prior admin it would have been lauded".

This obviously fuels speculation that Kim Kardashian's White House visit was in fact successful and that Alice Marie Johnson will be pardoned by the president. "This woman is a classic example of someone, who she can go out and she can be a productive member of the community".

Kim is yet to respond to the New York Post front-page as well as Donald Jr.'s message.

Kim Kardashian first heard about Alice Johnson's case after seeing her story in a Mic video. She is "hopeful" that things will "turn out really positively". She has started programs for prisoners, taken classes, and even written plays. Ms. Kardashian, you are literally helping to save my life and restore me to my family.

The 37-year-old mother-of-three was there to discuss a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother now serving jail time for a low-level drug offence.

Katina Scales and her three other siblings have been fighting for 21 years to get their mother released from prison.

'Dear Ms Kardashian, I am so humbled by what you are doing and have already done on my behalf, ' the letter began. "I went in, me and Shawn, to really talk to the president about Alice Johnson and really explain to him why she would be such a good person to grant clemency to", the 37-year-old continued. "I think that in life everyone makes mistakes and she really deserves a second chance".

But one claim made by her supporters needs to be refuted.

"You would have been so proud of us today", Kardashian told her.
