Jenkins has pretty much reunited most of her behind-the-scenes team from Wonder Woman, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, production designer Aline Bonetto, and costume designer Lindy Hemming. Wonder Woman, the crown jewel of the DC Extended Universe, is switching things up at least a little bit for its upcoming sequel, which, we now know, will be called Wonder Woman 1984.

Steve appears as young as he did during the 1910s, yet everyone around him is in distinctly Reagan Era attire and surrounded by the corresponding decor.

BURBANK, Calif. - Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman's next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. The character sacrificed his life during the climax of the first "Wonder Woman", which means the script will have a lot of explaining to do in regards to how Trevor is alive in 1984.

Wonder Woman 1984 arrives on November 1st, 2019.

Both of them switched their cover images on Twitter to crackling computer text that read: 'WW84, ' sending the Internet into a frenzy over the potential setting.

As previously announced, the film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. This, along with the title, confirms the time period of the film, which was earlier rumoured to be during the Cold War. After the unremarkable box office of Justice League, which was the last theatrical appearance of Wonder Woman, DC is now in a course correction mode.
