Fury wins on boxing comeback

Boxing fans must have been anticipating a spectacular fight night on Friday, and weren't disappointed, but there was a great deal more action outside the ring than in it.

And while Warren questioned whether Seferi could have a portion of his purse withheld for his feeble effort, Fury shrugged off the unsatisfactory ending, insisting he had enjoyed every minute of his ring return.

Fury has vowed to reclaim the world title and took his first step on that road against the over-matched Seferi, a former cruiserweight, who was withdrawn by his corner after taking some punishment in the fourth round.

Boxing fans had waited 32 months to see the "Gypsy King" back in the ring but it ended in farcical fashion after opponent Sefer Seferi pulled out after just four rounds.

The fight in the stands was perhaps more entertaining than Fury's win.

"I wouldn't change a thing, and we move on to the next one".

Tyson Fury's next fight will be on the undercard of Carl Frampton's headline show at Windsor Park on 18 August.

With a height advantage of 10 inches and weighing almost five stone heavier than the Albanian, Fury's camp are hopeful that they will find a taller and heavier opponent for his Belfast bout.

"I'll be better next time".

"At the end of the day, he needs rounds and he got four under his belt".

He vowed: "I'm happy to to be back and I'll take my career very seriously this time".

"I felt fantastic, it was like having my debut again", Fury said in the ring.

Britain's Tyson Fury, left, punches Sefer Seferi.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury was fighting for the first time since he upset Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

Fury said he would be "straight back in the gym on Monday", while promoter Frank Warren claimed the Wythenshawe-born fighter would "absolutely" be prepared fight Tony Bellew - who has twice conquered David Haye - this year before setting his sights on the likes of Anthony Joshua.

Fury was eventually given a backdated two-year ban and in his exile he piled on the pounds.
