A brand-new Fire Emblem game with a new story and characters is coming to Nintendo Switch.

What do you think of it? No release date for Fire Emblem: Three Houses has been announced outside of a Spring 2019 release window. We saw characters freely walking around a 3D area, which is something the main Fire Emblem series has never let you do. This has been corrected.

"The game takes place on Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and its people", Nintendo said in a teaser.

On a gameplay front, players can take advantage of new troop formations that bring an extra strategic layer to each battle. Nintendo's first reveal of a proper Fire Emblem looks bigger, bolder and grander than ever, with a pretty solid refresh of its visuals that gives the action larger armies for players to command in battle. A year and a half after the company stated the Nintendo Switch would get a full-fledged Fire Emblem game, it has finally been revealed at E3 2018.

The upcoming video game will launch sometime in spring 2019. For one, fans of the franchise will easily notice that the upcoming game features armies in the combat sequence shown in the trailer. Now, Fire Emblem on Switch can help the series continue to grow. Until then we guess the game trailer above will have to make do.
