Domino's Will Now Repair America's Crumbling Infrastructure

Domino’sDomino’s Paving For Pizza campaign aims to fill potholes

The crews put up "Paving for Pizza" signs, use branded steamrollers, and even spray-paint the Domino's logo on the patched potholes. Those cities are Bartonville, Texas; Milford, Delaware; Athens, Georgia and Burbank, California. "We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store", Domino's USA President Russell Weiner said in a statement.

In a press release announcing the initiative, Domino's US president Russell Weiner said the road fix work would make customers feel more secure in picking up their pizza.

Domino's is letting it known they are fixing potholes but writing, "OH YES, WE DID", on the repaved area of the street.

Have you ever been driving your pizza home and you either get into an accident or hit a pothole, destroying your pizza? "Now Domino's is hoping to help smooth the ride home for our freshly-made pizzas", the company announced in a press release Monday, June 11.

And no, they're not kidding, they really are filling in potholes, although not at random, as towns need to be nominated on the Paving For Pizza website.

Customers interested in nominating their hometown for a paving grant from Domino's can enter their zip code on the website. Towns that are selected by the company will receive funds to help fix roads "so pizzas make it home safely".

The initiative is cleverly titled "Paving for pizza". On a mild road, it glides right along, while on a moderate road, the toppings are jostled a bit.
