Lemar is a part of Didier Deschamps' France squad in Russian Federation and could be in line for a start in their first game against Australia on Saturday should Kylian Mbappe miss out with an ankle knock.

Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Griezmann has declared he's made a decision about his future - but will not announcement it.

Should he make the switch, Griezmann would add further star power to an attack that already includes Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele. I have made my choice.

Reported to be the Spanish champions' first choice target of the summer window, many have anticipated that the Frenchman will move to Catalonia once his release clause drops to €100m in July.

Since joining from Real Sociedad in 2014, Griezmann has scored 112 goals in all competitions for Atletico and finished each season as the club's top scorer.

The Atletico statement reads that the club has reached "a preliminary agreement over the transfer of Thomas Lemar", and that to "Over the next days, both clubs will work to close the agreement for the definitive transfer".

Griezmann gave no more indication on his plans and any time that the subject of his future was put forward by a journalist in attendance, the French FA press officer shut it down, telling the player not to answer.
