Anthony Martial wants to leave, claims agent

Martial has been linked with a move to Tottenham

Martial's agent, Philippe Lamboley, told RMC (h/t Get French Football News) that United do not value his client based on their inability to agree a new contract: "I think that when Manchester United, the most powerful club in the world ... do not find an agreement after eight months of negotiations, it is because they do not really want to make him an important member of the squad".

France worldwide Martial could leave Old Trafford this summer, with his agent Philippe Lamboley revealing the time has come for the winger to find a new club.

Martial moved to Old Trafford from Monaco in 2015 and made an instant impact in his debut season under Louis van Gaal with 11 goals in 31 Premier League games.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Juventus have all been linked with the wantaway star, but it's still not clear whether Jose Mourinho would allow Martial to leave if he doesn't sign another striker.

"United wants to extend Anthony and does not want him to leave but we do not find agreement for several months".

However, just 18 of Martial's 30 league outings in 2017-18 were starts, and his lack of game time led to his exclusion from Didier Deschamps' France squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation. "Without the great support from the fans, he would have already asked to leave the club".

"Anthony has the choice", he said. It is a well-considered decision.

The 22-year-old has turned into a fan favourite in the stands and all over the world during his three seasons in Manchester, and his agent has admitted that if it wasn't for the love from supporters he would have left earlier.

"However, we do not have the same vision on Anthony's future".

Tottenham have a long-standing interest in Martial, Sky Sports News understands, but Lamboley insists United will have the final say on whether he stays or goes this summer. He was chosen Player of the Month three times by fans. Then arrived the transfer window of January. "Anthony just wants to play, to feel happy and connect with his coach, that is essential". I will not comment on the consequences of this transfer window.
