'Brainstorm and Green needle' is the new 'Yanny and Laurel'

In the light-hearted video, staffers are asked if they hear "Laurel" in the audio clip, or if they hear "Yanny".

The White Home on Thursday jumped in on the "Yanny vs. Laurel" audio debate and it seems President Trump would not hear both of the names which have break up the nation.

While there have been conflicting reports as to who was first to post the clip online, "Yanny vs. Laurel" went viral on Twitter after a YouTuber Cloe Feldman tweeted the recording Tuesday (May 15).

"Sarah it's been reported that you hear Laurel, how do you respond?" a person is heard asking Sanders.

"Clearly you're getting your information from CNN "cause that's fake news".

"I literally just turned all frequencies below 1khz to negative 70 decibels and I still hear 'laurel, '" someone said on Reddit.


"It's Laurel", says Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway.

"All I hear is the call of death's warm embrace", wrote Kate Aronoff, a reporter for the left-leaning In These Times.

Vice President Mike Pence answers with a confused, "Who's Yanny?".

"I hear covfefe", said President Donald Trump from his desk in the Oval Office.

We've already had this discussion in the KOLR10 newsroom where people passionately debate if they hear Yanny or Laurel.

Mr Trump alluded to his viral tweet a year ago that ended in the world "covfefe", before it was deleted.
