So RAGE 2 Is Actually A Thing After All

Bethesda unveils first gameplay footage of Rage 2

We can't say we didn't know it was coming, but we really did - and now we have confirmation of RAGE 2 from Bethesda Softworks itself.

"In RAGE 2, you'll dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order", reads the description. You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. The game promises an open world format with Avalanche Studios and id Software at the helm, with the backdrop of its 2185 set hellscape.

We've got a lot more to show you from RAGE 2.

The publisher also announced that more details on Rage 2 (in addition to a new trailer) will be revealed on Monday, June 11th at the Bethesda's E3 conference.

Following the humorous Tweet by Bethesda addressing the recent leak of numerous titles by Walmart, it's not exactly surprising that Rage 2 has just been confirmed to be in development.

What is clear at this point is that the game is now in the works, and the first trailer released on May 14 shows loads of live action, with characters fighting, prancing around, wielding weapons, and indicating a great deal of excitement. Driving might not be the first thing that you think of when you see a first-person shooter, but its importance can't be understated, especially when it comes to Rage.

The original Rage video game hit the scene back in 2011, developed by id Software, but it didn't enjoy a great reception. A variety of characters who wouldn't look out of place in Mad Max's world can be seen fighting, wielding weapons, and. lifting weights.

So maybe today's gameplay trailer is going to be just a small tease.

Considering how many great ideas it brought to the table, Rage deserved to get another chance in the spotlight - it was just a few tweaks away from being a huge success.
