We are as focused on classroom achievement as we are with what we accomplish as competitors on the mat.

The NCAA also recognized six other programs at the school for having flawless April scores for the 2016-17 season: the women's basketball, cross country, golf, softball and tennis teams, as well as men's golf.

The Razorbacks' women's golf, gymnastics and women's tennis teams were honored for their standing among the top 10 percent of academic performing teams in the country in their respective sports in the multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) for the 2016-17 academic year.

All Division I programs' April scores will be released publicly on May 23.

The latest data which was revealed on Wednesday spanned the 2013-14 through 2016-17 academic years and showed a number of different areas in which Villanova ranks at or near the top of all Division I programs for the continued academic success of its student-athletes.

The two UA teams were among the 1,200 teams from 312 Division I schools to be recognized for academic excellence.

Among those 13 award-winning programs are three Irish sports-men's cross country, men's track and field and softball-that have been recognized in all 13 years the NCAA has presented the public recognition awards. Last week, the women's golf team won the NCAA Austin Regional and advanced to the NCAA Men's and Women's Golf Championships to be held in Stillwater, Oklahoma, May 18-23.

Most notable among Georgia Tech's latest recipients, head coach Bruce Heppler's golf program earned its 13th-straight Public Recognition Award, continuing its streak of earning the honor every year since the inception of the April program in 2006. Specifically, these teams posted multiyear APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport.

Last year, Rutgers football's multi-year April increased one point, from 972 to 973.

The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in each sport.

In addition, Duke was third among ACC schools, trailing only Notre Dame and Boston College and ahead of North Carolina (10), Clemson (7), Virginia (7), Georgia Tech (5), Louisville (5), Syracuse (5), Florida State (4), Virginia Tech (4), Wake Forest (4), Miami (3), N.C. State (3) and Pittsburgh (3).
