The world's most boring trailer was released early on Tuesday, and we have a theory about it, crafted from anonymous reports that we didn't just totally make up. The film stars Mark Wahlberg as an operative from the CIA's most highly prized unit, who is tasked with retrieving and transporting an asset through 22 life-threatening miles of risky territory. John Malkovich can do these roles in his sleep and is always worth your time and attention.

Alongside the trailer, STX released the official summary for the film: "In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA's most highly-prized and least understood unit". It's wonderful to see Ronda Rousey back in a mainstream action movie, especially since her current run in the WWE is going over great with the fans. When the United States government needs to get someone with information about a possible devastating nuclear attack off of foreign soil, they call in Silva and his crew-which includes characters played by The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan and WWE superstar Ronda Rousey.

Mile 22, which also stars Iko Uwais and John Malkovich, races into theaters August 3.

Otherwise, Mile 22 looks like exactly the type of late-summer popcorn fare that one would expect from Berg and Wahlberg.
