Kim Kardashian posted a sponsored advertisement on Instagram in which she described the diet sweets as"literally unreal

From "flat tummy tea" to gummy vitamins that promote hair growth, the Kim Kardashian loves herself a good 'ol #ad on Instagram.

Flat Tummy Co's website says its lollipops contain "satiereal" (an extract of saffron stigma, which it claims "helps control food intake, cravings and weight) and are "designed to help you suppress your appetite".

Kardashian's followers swiftly jumped in the comments section, some even accusing her of recklessly promoting eating disorders.

Jameela Jamil, star of the excellent NBC comedy The Good Place, had a very strong reaction.

'No. F*** off. No.

Ex-Radio 1 presenter Jameela Jamil, who has a social media campaign around body positivity, described her a "terrible and toxic influence on young girls". To see Kim actively encouraging her fans to develop an unhealthy relationship with food is terrifying and gravely concerning'.

The post was removed after it garnered severe backlash for the reality star, however, it turns out it wasn't Kim's decision. And to have fun with your friends.

"Fuck off. No. You awful and toxic influence on young girls".

Maybe the outrage will make Kim think more carefully about the brands she chooses to endorse.

And she's not the only one in her family: Kylie Jenner infamously endorsed waist trainers, which came as part of a "snap-back" package after she gave birth, perpetuating the pressure women feel to "fix" their postbaby bodies. Despite Kardashian deleting the post, screenshots of the controversial ad made the rounds on social media Thursday. "And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than 'I had a flat stomach.'" The tweet was accompanied by a GIF of Mr. Bean holding up the middle finger.

Detox teas and appetite-suppressing treats often exist in a regulatory grey area. She tweeted a screenshot of Kim's post and wrote: 'No.

Many Instagram and Twitter users voiced issues about the post, stating the photo promoted disordered eating and was especially risky to Kardashian's younger fans, who look up to her.

What spawned from her frustrations, though, is something much more positive.
