While ICSE students needed 33 per cent to qualify, ISC students needed 35 per cent to clear the board exams.Though initially the council chose to implement it from next year, months later it made a decision to implement the changes this year onwards.Earlier, the pass percentages were 35 per cent and 40 per cent for ICSE and ISC students, respectively.

Those students who will qualify the exam successfully can check ISC 12th Result 2018 by name wise and roll number wise though accessing the official link.

In Nagpur there are four schools in which students have enrolled in Std X for ICSE.

While most students need to compromise on extra-curricular and other activities during the board exam years, Utpat said that it was classical music and Bharatnatyam which kept her going and cleared her mind. "I never expected the score and neither could my parents". But I couldn't believe I've topped in the country. While a parent said, "We have supported our children as the curriculum is tough and includes a serie of tests". Tanushree Pendharkar and Sanjana Hira scored 99% and secured joint-second position in Delhi-NCR and joint-third nationwide. While all-India second ranker Ritisha Gupta came from The Bishop's School, Camp, there were two other students from Arts with high scores.

As for ISC, a total of 80,880 students appeared for the exam from February 7 to April 4.

In Guwahati, Sanskriti The Gurukul also scored cent per cent pass. Two are from Mumbai - Abhijnan Chakraborty from Smt Lilavatibai Podar High School and Tansa Kartik Shah from The Cathedral and John Connon School. Their topper was Archit Chouhan with 98 per cent and 76 students got more than 90 per cent. Vidya Valley School, too, had cause to celebrate with 31 out of 88 students scoring over 94 per cent. Aditya Sriram and Pranav Mishra topped the school with 98.6 per cent while Pradyun Ramesh was third with 97.2 per cent. "It did sting a little that I missed out on a national ranking, but I I am really happy with the score I received". "The pre-board school exams were the turning point, as they helped me focus on my preparation", said Kakkar, who has opted for science with math for high school.

Books were the ISCE all-India topper's Bible. "Next I am planning to prepare for JEE Mains, I will try my best to get admission in IIT colleges". I simply stuck to my goal of doing my regular studies. Shah, who has appeared for the CET, wishes to pursue law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
