Here's the HTC U12+ specs and some gorgeous looking renders

The company has announced the launch date for its next flagship smartphone: HTC U12 Plus. Blass's latest leaked images show a notch-free display with minimal bezels on the edge of the phone. We can also see the dual camera setup on the back along with a fingerprint reader just above the HTC logo. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood, with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage (depending on region).

Around back there is a 12MP UltraPixel 4 shooter with an aperture of f/1.75 accompanied by a 16MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.6. The spec sheet promises IP68 dust and water resistance and a 3,500mAh battery. To the front is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Slightly shorter and narrower but thicker than the U11+, the HTC U12+ retains its predecessor's 6-inch Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 panel with a 2:1 aspect ratio, also weighing a somewhat bulky 188 grams.

The device will come out of the box running Android 8.0 Oreo but will supposedly be upgraded to Android P, and the new version of HTC Sense will add some extra features to the squeeze functionality of the device. We get the complete hardware info and details about most of the unique features of the phone. The cameras will have optical image stabilization, support for AR stickers and HDR Boost 2. It also features AR stickers, Pro Mode with manual controls, and panorama support. As expected, the smartphone also skips the 3.5 mm headphone jack, in favour of the USB Type C audio. On the connectivity front, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and dual SIM.
