Administrators of corporate services G Suite to activate the feature should turn on the "Gmail offline web", and regular Gmail users are already beginning to access the new mode, which is very useful in traveling or in an unstable Network. Scroll to the "Offline" menu option from the top toolbar (this is the same place you'll see General, Labels, and Accounts and Imports options), and then check the box beside "Enable offline mail".

This new mode will allow users to compose e-mails and do a number of tasks even when they aren't connected to the internet.

Next, you'll be able to switch to offline mode and customize some of its settings.

Choose how many days to sync, and whether to keep or remove cached email when signing out of a Gmail account.

At the bottom of the page, click Save changes.

Before you go all-in on offline mode, there are a few limitations you should know about.

Under "Privacy and security", click Content settings.

You can store emails for up to 90 days through Gmail offline, as well as queue up messages for when you next get a connection.

Confirm by clicking Clear all.

"Smart Compose helps save you time by cutting back on repetitive writing, while reducing the chance of spelling and grammatical errors". While a Smart Compose option may have grabbed some eye balls during Google I/O 2018, the tech giant had announced that it would soon be rolling out more such intelligent features on its platform. To start sync again, open Chrome. Usually, this is only a fraction of the storage available on your computer, so the available storage shown in Gmail offline settings is smaller than the actual available storage on your computer.

Gmail offline will only work with the chrome web browser version 61 or higher, so you will need to make sure that is your preferred browser.

To increase your Gmail offline storage, free up space on your computer.
