United Airlines will increase nonstop service between Newark and Sarasota.

Frontier Airlines on Thursday announced it is adding direct service from San Antonio, Texas, to nine cities, including Omaha.

To celebrate the new service, the airline is offering an introductory fare starting at $59 one way. To get the low fare tickets must be purchased by May 18 with travel on Mondays beginning August 13 and through November 14. The return flight leaves San Antonio at 3:25 p.m., arriving in Cleveland at 7:31 p.m. It also means Frontier will become the largest carrier in San Antonio, in regards to destinations served.


United Airlines is increasing nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and 15 destinations, including Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The airline launched five new flights last fall, and five others last month. Frontier already provides service to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Diego, San Jose, Ontario, Calif., Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham and Washington Dulles.
