Emilia Clarke Reveals Gender-Neutral Paycheck for Game of Thrones

Her first big break was on HBO's wildly successful Game Of Thrones - about to enter its eighth and final series - where she says she has always been paid the same as her co-stars.

The dragon queen will however spit fire if one more reporter asks her "How does it feel to play a strong woman?".

Just hours earlier, Emilia stunned in a white ensemble at the Kering Women in Motion photocall.

"Walking on set, I felt a difference in the room that was really interesting to navigate but then you kind of ease into it and you say 'this is it!'". There's a "weak" option?

She said she was not certain how all the clashes for the Iron Throne will end.

The actress, who has a prominent role in "Solo: A Star Wars Story", said the topic "doesn't even bear having a conversation" and asked journalists and publications alike to "please" give up using the word "strong" to describe a female lead. You think a lead in a movie is going to be weak? In an interview with Variety at the French event, Clarke reveals that although Howard did not have enough time to prep for the film, the transition was "seamless".

With Solo: A Star Wars Story now less than a couple of weeks away, attention is starting to turn to the movie's release and it's stars. "So unless I'm packing guns I don't know about, let's change that".

GAME OF THRONES star Emilia Clarke looked out of this world at the premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

She said: "You start to dig deep and see where it is, rife in the industry". I was always gonna do everything he told me to do, so I watched them really young [and] got into them from him", she said."Then when it all came back the second time around, I became a fan all over again, because it's just... they've taken it to every level.

Clarke said a way to combat the pay disparity is to "be aware of it", address it "in the beginning" and "fight harder for that stuff".

Things aren't all glitz and glamour for Qi'ra, Clarke promises, as she also makes good on the "femme fatale" persona that has previously been used to describe the character.
