Needing to maintain a clear gap between itself and the new 630bhp DB11 AMR, this sort of power figure is becoming increasingly likely for both coupe and convertible.

Aston Martin combines high-speed capability with luxurious surroundings for the new DB11 AMR that sits at the top of the range of the already capable grand tourer.

This powertrain allows the vehicle to sprint from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds than the old model, on to a top speed of 208mph.

For the sake of comparison, the V12-powered Aston Martin DB11 AMR now makes 630 hp.

Like the standard DB11, the AMR version comes with a plethora of safety and driver assist features like dynamic stability control, traction control, hydraulic brake assist, dynamic torque vectoring, positive torque control, cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors.

Aston Martin claims to have re-tuned the suspensions without hampering the comfortable touring abilities of the DB11. A new shift calibration for the transmission and a slightly more vocal exhaust note ensures the DB11 AMR expresses its character more explicitly when Sport mode is engaged.

Aston Martin Racing has recently opened it new performance centre at the Nurburgring in Germany. Beside getting a bump in power, the boosted V12 also benefits from a new stainless steel exhaust that gives the DB11 a louder performance.

Visually the DB11 AMR is distinguished by a coordinated palette of exposed carbon fibre and gloss black detailing that unites the exterior and interior treatment. All the chrome seen on the standard auto has been replaced with monochrome trims along with smoked headlights and tail lights to make the DB11 look more sinister.

The dark theme continues inside, with monotone leather and alcantara upholstery and a contrasting central lime stripe. This variant gets a Stirling Green paint scheme with Lime pinstripes running across the bonnet along with exposed carbon fibre trim.

The AMR-spec DB11 will be available with limited edition Signature Edition. There's also a carbon fibre and Satin Dark Chrome setting available for the GT's cabin.
