Larkana: A local Sindhi singer, Samina Sindhu, was killed in firing at a function in Larkana, Sindh Province, by an influential person, who was shot dead.

Samina Samoon was performing at a ceremony when the accused, Tarique Ahmed Jatoi, asked her to stand up while singing. While Samoon made a decision to stand up and perform, she refused to dance on his request, Geo News reported.

The husband of the slain singer told the local media that his wife had been six months pregnant with their child and was invited for her singing performance at Kanga Village of Larkana.

A video of the whole incident has now surfaced and is going viral, where we can see the singer performing while the Tariq and other men at the party tossed money at her. The accused has been arrested, and an investigation has been launched in this regard.

She stood up reluctantly to humour him. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead upon arrival.

The video shows Samina sitting and serenading the guests before standing up, only to be killed. After the refusal, the suspect shot her dead, according to the police.

Police on Thursday apprehended two accused nominated in the murder of a local journalist in Sialkot. According to the FIR, the victim's husband filed a double murder report because of the unborn child.
