Trump Fires Back After Comey Calls Him 'Morally Unfit' For Office

President Donald Trump fired off a barrage of angry tweets early Sunday morning, directing much of his ire at the the former head of the FBI, whom he called "the WORST FBI Director in history, by far!"

"We find that Mr. Comey has a revisionist view of history and seems like a disgruntled ex-employee, afterall he was sacked", Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway added. Comey announced in July 2016 that he would not recommend charges against Clinton, but stated publicly that Clinton and her aides had been "extremely careless" in handling classified information. Comey said in the interview that Trump is "morally unfit" for office.

Trump did not explain the "many crimes" he alleges that Comey and McCabe committed and there is no evidence that they have done any wrongdoing.

President Donald Trump is renewing his attacks on James Comey after the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director's scathing interview on ABC.

In an excerpt shown Saturday, Comey said his belief that Clinton would beat Trump in the 2016 presidential election was a factor in his decision to disclose the investigation into her emails.

Trump attempted on Monday to discredit Comey by aligning him with his ongoing narrative of attacks on the Federal Bureau of Investigation for having - as he perceives it - a bias against him.

She says she rose above politics throughout the email investigation, and never discussed it with anyone from the Clinton campaign or the Democratic National Committee. Lindsey Graham (R- S.C.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) who found transcripts in August showing that Comey had drafted a statement rejecting charges be filed against Clinton, about two months before Clinton ever spoke with FBI investigators.

"I think that his credibility is really at hand, and it's quite interesting that he would question someone else's when he has such a lack of credibility himself", Sanders said.

The Home Shopping Network ABC News hosted an hour-long infomercial on Sunday night as part of a larger marketing strategy for the hyper-emotional former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Comey has faced harsh criticism from both Republicans and Democrats and his book gives him a chance to defend his actions, according to CNN.

Comey also revealed his assumption that Hillary Clinton was going to win the election.

But the president's characterization that Comey was influenced by polls is an oversimplification of what the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director wrote. 'Cause he said, you know, 'If there's even a 1 percent chance my wife thinks that's true, that's awful'.

The insult slinging has officially begun, and neither Trump nor Comey minced their words.

Trump fired off a series of tweets ahead of Comey's first interview on the book, which offers his version of the events surrounding his firing as FBI director by Trump and the investigations into Russian election meddling and Hillary Clinton's email practices.

"I think impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office would let the American people off the hook and have something happen indirectly that I believe they're duty bound to do directly", Comey said. "I don't know", Comey said.

Later, the two clashed over the Russian Federation probe - with Conway accusing Cuomo and CNN of wanting special counsel Robert Mueller to turn up evidence of collusion.
