Sunrisers snap Eden jinx as Knights falter at home

After a winning start to their campaign KKR lost to CSK in Chennai

R Vinay Kumar's run leak may have been a concern for the Kolkata Knight Riders but skipper Dinesh Karthik is confident that he has enough ammunition in his armoury in terms of fast bowling talent as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next IPL encounter, in Kolkata on Saturday.

After doing his calculations, the astrologer predicts that Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad will be the victor in today's game. Taking long run-ups, Prasidh bowled a couple of overs as the Andre Russells and the Chris Lynns prepared themselves for the fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Add in Bangladesh ace Shakib Al Hasan and Aussie express pacer Billy Stanlake into mix and you have one of the most complete bowling units you will ever find. They will first look to address that.

KKR captain Dinesh Karthik was not happy with his batsman. The batting line up did chip in by chasing the total but it was the bowlers, who have managed to pull the reins on the opposition on both occasions. Bhuvneshwar returned to the Sunrisers line-up in place of Sandeep Sharma, who had replaced him in the last game. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be for the first time playing away from their home crowds, and with almost 40,000 screaming Kolkatta fans they will have to be psychologically prepared. Star Afghan spinner Rashid Khan went wicketless. Shakib's dismissal, off Piyush Chawla for 27, and Williamson's for 50 off Mitchell Johnson brought two new batsmen at the crease, but Yusuf Pathan and Deepak Hooda took SRH home. He failed to attack in the second innings as well and let Sunrisers run away with the game.

In the 10th match of this season IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders meets Sunrisers Hyderabad at Kolkata. "So we have pace in the kitty", the KKR skipper told reporters on the eve of their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Nearly throughout their innings, the Knight Riders struggled to score freely and the batsmen's job only got more and more hard when play resumed post rain interruption. The bounce was tennis-balley, and the wickets of Rana and Russell were only thanks to two great catches.
