Following discussion at the March 28-29 retreat, the Valdosta City Board of Education reviewed six goals for the board at the April 10 meeting.

In the past, when race-related issues were brought to the administration, school officials would act to address the specific problems.

The Board of Education approved awarding a Hawley Elementary School roof restoration and replacement project to Garland/DBS as the project manager with Elite Roofing and Restoration, LLC, for $703,113, according to the school board's motion from the meeting.

I believe that my experience, not only as a board member and a parent, but also an active member of several community organizations, makes me the best candidate for the Stevensville School District as a trustee.
