The Supreme Court Bar Association threatened to go on strike on Monday but after the appeal Chief Justice Saqib Nisar cancelled plan.

Meanwhile, the case of the attack on the apex court judge's residence has been lodged against unidentified persons in Model Town Police Station and provisions of terrorism and attempted murder have been included in the case.

According to a spokesperson for the Government of Punjab, the JIT, to be headed by additional inspector-general of police (IG) Muhammad Tahir, will comprise Sultan Chaudhry, the deputy inspector-general for investigation, alongside representatives from the Military Intelligence (MI), Inter-Services Intelligence (IS), and Intelligence Bureau (IB).

A bullet hit the gate of the house, the report reads.

"Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) Crime Scene Unit was called to process the incident to analyze it forensically", the investigation report said.

Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar also visited the residence of the Ijazul Ahsan and summoned Inspector General of Punjab to probe the matter. A search has been conducted in the vicinity.

While hearing a case related to the Football Federation of Pakistan on Monday, the CJP remarked,"I am looking into the incidents of firing at the Lahore residence of Justice Ijazul Ahsan".
