Mariah Carey reveals bipolar disorder Mariah Carey

"It's not making me feel too exhausted or sluggish or anything like that".

Carey, one of the best-selling music artists in the world with 200 million records sold and hits like "We Belong Together", said she was taking medication for the bipolar II form of the disorder, which is marked by less severe mood swings between depression and hyperactivity. The truth, he says, was that Mariah was "stoned out of her mind" and could barely get up onto the stage.

Carey signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation in November 2017 - it was around this time that she was said to have let go of Stopler. TMZ is reporting that Stopler is seeking a "huge amount of money" she claims Carey failed to pay her.

Despite her fame and success, Mariah has received support for her mental health disorder from relatively few people in her life.

The singer - who has six-year-old fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband Nick Cannon - said: "I didn't want to believe it".

After Mariah recently opened up about her bipolar II diagnosis, it seems there may be a legitimate explanation behind the pop star's erratic and questionable behaviors throughout the years. It is characterized by depressive and hypomanic episodes lasting from days to months.

Fans have been incredibly supportive and have sent endless words of encouragement to Mariah since she came forward about her diagnosis on Wednesday.

Miss "Songbird Supreme" is now working on a new album with Roc Nation, which will be the first since her 2014 album, Me. I was irritable and in constant fear of letting people down.

"I'm hopeful we can get to a place where the stigma is lifted from people going through anything alone".
