Leafs forward Leo Komarov to miss Game 3 against Boston

"When you go right through it from - the way I look at it is, there are so many things we can do better", Babcock said Sunday after holding a team meeting. This, of course, compared to Matthews seeing Bergeron for a combined 12:49 of his 27:32 in Games 1 and 2 in Boston made an obvious difference. Our penalty kill hasn't been as good, we've left our goalies alone.

For the Bruins, very little hasn't gone their way.

Game five will be on Saturday, April 21 in Boston.

And hammering Leafs netminder Frederik Andersen for 42 shots in the losing effort, the Bruins did everything but tie this game up when it mattered most. Sure, they do have a high-powered offense and power play, but they'll give up plenty of scoring chances, too.

"It's life", said B's forward David Pastrnak, who had a hat trick in Game 2 but was stymied on Monday both with a post and an insane Freddie Andersen stick save late in the third to help protect the Leafs win. When a referee makes a call you kind of live with it because it's decisive. "I know we're capable of playing better, myself included".

Seven seconds into Toronto's power play, James van Riemsdyk scored to put Toronto ahead 1-0.

This next game will dictate the rest of the series.

Colorado scored the first goal in both games and was able to play on even terms for 40 minutes in Game 1 before dropping a 5-2 decision.

It was a monumental performance for the 21-year-old, who becomes the youngest player in National Hockey League history to record six points in a playoff game, surpassing Wayne Gretzky's record by four months.

- The Leafs opened the scoring on a first-period power play, which was a good omen for them.

Pastrnak also matched the franchise record for points in a playoff game, joining greats Phil Esposito and Rick Middleton, who achieved the feat in 1969 and 1983, respectively.

No group embodied this more than the Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak trio.

Sharks 8, Ducks 1 (Sharks lead series 3-0): The Anaheim Ducks need a miracle after Monday's embarrassment. So now they get together and I assume they want to make the right call, that's the idea, but to me they got together and clearly they guessed because it hit the glass and we saw that.

You can't win them all. "I'm sure we can fix that".

Andersen will need to win the Leafs a few games for them to advance to Round 2, so his Game 3 performance certainly is an encouraging sign for Toronto and its fans.

The win not only guarantees Toronto a return trip back to Boston for a Game 5, they will get second line center Nazem Kadri back for at least a game. Plekanec played his best game as a Maple Leaf and his line contained the Bergeron unit, which in itself was a triumph.

They say in the playoffs a team is never truly in trouble until they lose on home ice.

"At this time of the year, we've talked a lot about this in our room, it's great to have skill but without will, nothing happens".

"Obviously, the first two games didn't go as planned", said Bozak.
