The internationally recognized date for Holocaust Remembrance Day is a nationwide effort to honor the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution by holding a Days of Remembrance ceremony.

The entire Jewish community are invited to pay tribute to those lost, as well as survivors and refugees of the Holocaust.

He gave diplomas and medals to the descendants of those Belarusians who saved Jews during the war and were named Righteous Among the Nations by the special commission Yad Vashem (the World Holocaust Remembrance Center).

"When hatred is allowed full-throated expression, when men and women of conscience are silenced or overpowered, and when the dignity that is the inalienable right that all humans hold in common is forgotten, then the result is the ghetto, the mass grave and the crematorium", said Mr. Lo.

Yad Vashem uses ads to urge people to come forward with their Holocaust-era items.
