Facebook user issues death threat to Parmish Verma claims he shot the singer

Famous Punjabi singer and director Parmish Verma and a friend were shot after returning from a show on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in Phase 8, Industrial Area, Mohali.

According to Hindustan Times' report, both Parmish and his friend are said to be out of danger and now undergoing treatment in Fortis Hospital in Mohali.

Apart from Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, members of the Sampat Nehra gang have also claimed responsibility for the attack, according to news agency IANS.

The Haryana Police today arrested a man from Himachal Pradesh's Solan district in connection with the attack on Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, police said. The Facebook post since then has garnered over 2,500 shares. The police official said that they were reviewing CCTV footage obtained from the spot as part of the investigation into the incident. In the post, Dilpreet said that he is lucky to be alive but had warned him that if he meets face to face, Parmish will face the consequences.

Until now, the post has received 1.6K likes and has been shared 747 times. A police source has said Verma's knee was injured in the firing.

The gangster's motive to claim responsibility for the shooting was unclear.

Verma's song "Gaal Nahin Kadhnai" which was released previous year have been viewed over 118 million times on YouTube.

The "Gaal Ni Kadni" singer recently released his single "Shada" which turned out to be a hit. He was also wanted in a murder case in a sector 38 Gurudwara in Chandigarh.
