Samsung partners uBreakiFix chain for Galaxy phone repairs

Galaxy S9 cannot be repaired even in service centre

Galaxy S9 cannot be repaired even in service centre

Starting tomorrow, Galaxy users can bring their busted mobile devices to more than 300 Samsung Care-authorized uBreakiFix service locations across the country for same-day repairs, Samsung announced. All uBreakiFix technicians are Samsung-certified and "use genuine Samsung parts", and tools for the repairs. Samsung says it will cover "more than 300" authorized service locations in the United States, which are said to reach "the majority of the continental United States population, within a 30-mile radius." uBreakiFix's website says the company runs just under 380 stores across the country. In short, unless you really feel confident in your handiness with a phone fix kit, you should be sending these phones back to Samsung or a reputable fix shop if something bad happens to them. For the moment, it seems uBreakiFix and Samsung Care will be focusing more on fixing faulty phones than demonstrating value-add features, however. Plus, the companies plan to add nearly 200 additional service locations by early 2019.

Samsung makes one of the best Android handsets there out there but more important than selling smartphones is a way to provide customers on how to get them repaired immediately should something unfortunate happen to them.

Clearly, Samsung wants to be able to provide quality hardware service without users having to worry about faulty, third-party parts.

Samsung Premium Care comes for free the first month that you own your new Samsung phone, but after that, it comes in at a price that's not too far off the cost of Netflix each month. Samsung is far and away the most popular manufacturer of Android phones in the USA, but, like the rest of its peers, it hasn't offered the kind of extensive support provided by Apple and its myriad "Genius Bars" across the country.
