Mack's hit "Flava In Ya Ear" helped spark Bad Boy's 90's dominance, but he left the game in the mid-1990's and slept a low profile in SC until his passing.

He was in SC, and reportedly passed away due to natural causes, TMZ reports.

Easy Mo Bee, who produced "Flava in Ya Ear" and numerous songs on Funk Da World, also shared a story about trying to get Mack back into hip-hop and the rapper's ties to Christianity.

After departing ways with Diddy, Mack released a second album, Operation: Get Down, but eventually left music and devoted his life to religion.

Alvin Toney, Mack's producer on his Project: Funk Da World and Get Down Remix albums, confirmed the news in a statement to The New York Daily News, which reports Mack died on Monday from heart failure while in a SC hospital.
