Jeff Goldblum will reprise the role of Dr Ian Malcolm in forthcoming video game Jurassic World Evolution.

Dr. Ian Malcolm's journey through Jurassic Park is set to continue with Jurassic World Evolution. What's more is that considering how Malcolm has seen how things can quickly go awry when trying to wrangle dinosaurs as a part of a theme park attraction, the character should offer a steady hand when guiding players along in their decision making in the game.

According to the Jurassic Outpost website, the Frontier Developments team would have held a private presentation of the game at the Universal Backlot, showing a new video of the game that also announces the release date. In Evolution, players will be placed in charge of a park on Isla Nublar and its surrounding islands, with them being tasked with running a profitable business and, presumably, stopping those dinosaurs from breaking free and killing everyone. Fun!

"I highly recommend it", the actor says. Now, Frontier gets to work with the Jurassic Park brand, and adding Jeff Goldblum gives it a more legitimate tie to that franchise.

While Microsoft revealed the game, it is expected to release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC sometime in the summer of 2018.

As of the time of this writing, Jurassic World Evolution now does not have a release date, but we know that it'll be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Despite that, it's already been given 10/10 Goldblums, which makes it the greatest game ever made. Jurassic World Evolution will tell a new story with connecting points to key characters in the Jurassic World films.

It's been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment.
