Bride arrested for DUI on way to wedding

Scott tweeted, 'A driver was arrested for DUI this AM while driving to her wedding.

A 32-year-old Arizona bride was driving alone to her wedding on Monday when she caused a three-car collision and was subsequently placed in handcuffs and arrested by police.

Wearing a diaphanous dress for her big day, a handcuffed Amber Young, 32, was pictured being ushered by an officer into a Marana Police Department squad auto.

An officer suspected Young, who was wearing a white, floor-length dress, was driving impaired.

The Marana Police Department said Amber Young, 32, is facing a DUI charge after causing a three-vehicle crash on her way to her wedding.

Young was booked, her blood sample extracted and she signed a criminal citation to appear in court later, reports say. An occupant in one of the other vehicles sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries, and was sent to a hospital, Scott said.

In a now-deleted tweet, Sgt. Chriswell Scott wrote, "Don't drive impaired".
