Jose Mourinho has heaped praise on Luke Shaw's recent resurgence at Manchester United and insisted he would receive a new contract as a result.

"I am fully committed to win the award this season of the best-behaved manager on the touchline, " Mourinho said.

Newcastle United are 16th in the league at this point in time - with 25 points on board, only a point away from 19th placed Huddersfield Town.

The striker will be hoping to make his bow for Newcastle when they welcome Manchester United to St James' Park on Sunday after training with the side for the first time on Wednesday. If we can even set up three opportunities and capitalize on one against Manchester United, then certainly I have no doubt that safety is in our future.

"Because I know Shaw since he arrived in the Premier League with Southampton and I know his potential, his quality". I always felt lovely matches but hard matches.

"I like to go there, I like the feeling of being at Mr [Bobby] Robson's home, I like the stadium, it is really nice and I like the atmosphere, they are good and enthusiastic".

The club, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, played down the significance of a 48.8 million pound non-cash accounting charge in the period after USA tax reforms took effect.

Rafa Benitez has despite the well documented lack of support from the board, done a respectable job of keeping Newcastle United above the drop zone and it is vital that they stay in the top flight to not lose momentum again.

This campaign, Slimani made just 12 Premier League appearances for the Foxes, starting only two of those and finding the back of the net once, as he failed to displace the likes of Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy in the starting line-up. What I know of the club, it has an incredible army of fans, a city that lives for the club and supports the club.

However, salary expenses for the quarter came in 9.4 percent higher at 69.9 million pounds as players got more after a return to the Champions League. In a big squad full of good players, it is no bad thing to be able to do something different. They are tiny margins, but Benitez has searched each one to find safety and he bristled when asked if he would be scared to repeat the tactic employed against City, at home to Manchester United, on Sunday.
