Disgraced former gymnastics doctor sent to Arizona prison

Larry Nassar, the former us gymnastics doctor accused of molesting more than 200 women and children has been transferred to a high-security federal prison in Tucson.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons' website says Nassar is now at a facility in Tuscon.

One inmate serving a life sentence there is Brian David Mitchell, the former Utah street preacher who kidnapped 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart and held her captive for nine months, the newspaper reported.

He's starting the 60-year federal prison term for child pornography crimes.

Nassar, 54, is accused of molesting over 200 women and girls dating back to the 1990's.

On February 5, 2018, he was sentenced to an additional 40 to 125 years after pleading guilty to an additional three counts of sexual assault.

His next possible release date is listed as March 23rd of 2069.

For decades Nassar had worked with USA Gymnastics and at Michigan State University.
